Commitment is pretty simple—it’s either a yes or a no. You’re in, or you’re out. There’s not much room for a “maybe” when it comes to showing up.
I could unpack commitment from a lot of angles, but tonight, I’ll keep it personal—specifically, about my daily blogging challenge for February.
I’ll be honest: I get frustrated when I wait until late in the evening to write. By then, I’m tired from a long day and starting to unwind. Most nights, I manage to push through. But tonight? Tonight, I seriously considered skipping it altogether.
There’s no financial reward tied to finishing this February challenge. No prize waiting at the end. But my word matters to me—and maybe to anyone reading along this month. Commitment, for me, is about keeping promises. It’s the discipline to do what I said I would, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable.
I can already tell this daily writing habit is shaping me somehow. I don’t fully know what’s changing yet, but I feel it. And that’s reason enough to keep going.
Thanks for reading and being part of this commitment journey with me. If you’ve been enjoying these February reflections, feel free to share them with someone who might, too.
